A spectacular tribute to Dutch pop music. The ultimate pop experience. This is what the National Popmuseum in The Hague aims to become. In 2012 DST developed its concept for VolkerWessels’s real estate branch.
The National Popmuseum is something to watch. Full of rich and surprising stories and special artefacts. This is where visitors go to experience pop music themselves. Where they make music or record a clip. Its rolling jukebox introduces you to all the big Dutch pop bands. Zoom through the clips of the past on the Radar Love Ride. And its Soundcloud will let you enjoy every bit of Dutch pop music ever produced. This is pop music like you’ve never experienced it before.
The National Popmuseum’s business case aims to achieve 300,000 visitors a year. Set in The Hague, with its reputation as a beat and pop music town with famous names such as the Golden Earring, Shocking Blue, DI-RECT and Anouk. VolkerWessels estimates this themed attraction to have a floor plan of around 4,500 square meters.
